Tony Sheldon offers a full range of holidays travelling by rail, either travel without flying using the Channel Tunnel for European holidays or our fly/rail tours for other continents.
We have many holidays by rail based around escorted tours to many different locations and special events such as the famous Christmas Markets across Europe or short break holidays and also holidays based around many of the famous trains in Europe – Orient Express, Danube Express, Glacier Express and also some newer trains such as the Hotel train with runs between France and Spain.
Looking further a field with our fly/rail holidays we arrange many worldwide tours from across America and Canada by train, the famous trains of Australia – the Ghan and the Indian Pacific Express, Southern Africa with the Blue Train and Rovos Rail, we also have a number of trips on the famous trans Siberian Express linking Europe and the Far East.
Then closer to home there are many wonderful railway journeys in this country to the scenic lines of Scotland taking in the West Highland line famous for the filming of Harry Potter to the Settle and Carlisle with the wonderful Cambrian scenery, or the little narrow gauge railways of Wales or tours to the many preserved steam railways all over the country.
Also on offer we have a range of ‘steam’ tours aimed at the railway enthusiast for itineraries in the UK and Germany, these take in railway journeys such as the Harz Mountains, the steam railways in Switzerland, and mainline steam in Germany just to name a few.
We also offer a bespoke service to make you a holiday travelling by train so if for example you want a couple of weeks in the sun or a city break for a few days we can put a holiday together for you.
